LA Classics

Los Angeles has long been associated with meditation and discovering yourself. A meditation class that focuses on becoming your future self will be a very relaxing and an inspirational way to start the weekend.

Santa Monica has long been an icon of the West Coast with its whimsical carnival pier. You will get to ride the notorious Santa Monica Pier ferris wheel and live out your childhood dreams at Pacific Park.

We’d never let you miss out on seeing the infamous Rodeo Drive and possibly spotting a celebrity. You will have time to explore Beverly Hills before embarking on a journey to see celebrity homes.

You’ll have a chance to see famed murals while strolling along Abbott Kinney- Venice’s most eclectic street of boutiques, restaurants and galleries.

Seeing the stars and cosmos that populate LA’s skies in one of the most gorgeous buildings- the Griffith Observatory- is truly an experience you will never forget. You will see stunning views of the city at sunset and possibly even get a chance to see other planets through the facility’s enormous telescope.

Food & Spa

We will experience LA’s amazing food scene at some of the most popular restaurants in the city. You will taste foods from establishments in Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, West Hollywood and Downtown LA.

A part of our LA experience is a visit to a Korean spa. Also known as a jjimjilbang, Korean spas are a go-at-your own pace spa where guests can enjoy several types of dry and wet saunas, clay rooms, oxygen rooms, Korean food and an intensive full body scrub. You will come away feeling very clean, soft, relaxed and refreshed.

You can’t travel to California and not attempt to surf! A private group surf lesson in Malibu is something to check off your bucket list while on this trip.

All things paddleboard are a California favorite, but especially paddleboard yoga. A private paddleboard yoga class will teach you the basics while on the water.

We will bike between some activities that are within close proximity to each other to incorporate exercise and to truly feel like a local.

Did you even go to LA if you didn’t hike to the Hollywood sign? This easy-level hike offers beautiful views of the city and the well known sign.

Each trip is unique in that we offer one or more activities with local women who are making a significant difference in their community. Sometimes these activities involve visiting women-run cooperatives, shopping for artisan wares crafted by females, visiting museums dedicated to women, or meeting with local women. These activities are designed to make us aware of women in other cultures, how they live and their struggles to be heard and to become successful in their community. These encounters can have a significant impact on both groups of females. The details of these activities are shared upon arrival.

Los Angeles, also known as The City of Angels, is a vibrant city with a perfect mixture of beach and cosmopolitan. Just a half hour west of the hustle and bustle of Downtown Los Angeles is a sunny, colorful-filled world by the Pacific.

Latifah attended graduate school in Los Angeles and lived in LA for three years after graduating. She considers Los Angeles home and is completely infatuated by the endless adventures, people and sunlight she encounters there. Come and experience Los Angeles with Latifah- you won’t regret it!

Our Stay

Named one of the “World’s Top 10 Beach Cities’ by National Geographic Traveler, we will be residing in Santa Monica so that you can immerse yourself in the relaxed beach vibe of Los Angeles. Our hotel, a modern eco-friendly boutique hotel, will provide an easy launching point for us to explore the beaches, shops and restaurants of the city. At the end of a day of discovery, the hotel will also provide a tranquil retreat from the chaotic rhythm of the city.

The hotel creates a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere inside but is only minutes away from the excitement of the Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade! The courtyard provides the ideal setting for breakfast, relaxation and sunsets!
