Marrakech Mothers & Daughters 2021
Information About Booking Flights
Please do contact us before you book your ticket so that we can ensure that you have the right dates for arriving and departing. Please also let us know if you need help booking flights.
For this trip, you need to book your flight to arrive in Marrakech airport (airport code RAK). Plan your arrival anytime during the day of September 11, 2021, and you will be free to explore the souk until the evening when we will all gather at the Riad for dinner.
We have arranged with the Riad to pick you up from the airport so we will need your flight information. We have already paid for this service, so there is no charge to you. We will already be in Fes, and you will have our cell phone numbers in case you need to reach us. We will be in touch with you after you book with additional information and we will stay in touch with you until the trip date.
If you are coming from North America, we suggest that you book your trip to leave a day early so that you arrive on the first day of the sojourn. If you want to arrive even earlier or stay later, we can suggest various Riads or hotels for you.
You will be departing from the Marrakech airport (airport code RAK). The sojourn ends on September 19, 2021, and we will be checking out of the Riad on that day by noon. The Riad can store your luggage if you have a later flight and would like to explore the souk until time for your flight.
If you have additional questions before or after booking, please let us know.
Information About Traveling
If you are from the United States, you do not need to obtain a visa in advance. For all other countries, please check with your embassy. Be sure that your passport is valid for six months and that you have your return ticket available to show customs officials.
Vaccinations
We require that the women who travel with us have had the Covid 19 vaccine and present proof of vaccination. You will also need to carry proof of your vaccination with you for entry into Morrocco. Also, be sure to travel with medicine for travel sickness as well as medicine in case you eat something disagreeable.
Money
We recommend that you change at least the equivalent of USD 100 into Moroccan Dirhams before you leave your country in case you find that you need money within the first day of arrival. You can change more money at ATMs the day after your arrival.
Travel Insurance
Unexpected events happen in life that can cause you to change your plans. Travel insurance is mandatory for all our travelers and should be taken out at the time of booking. Your travel insurance must provide coverage against personal accident, death, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US$200,000 for each of the categories of cover. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability, and loss of luggage, and personal effects. Most insurance agencies require that you purchase travel insurance within 14 days of booking your reservation. At times, depending on the type of policy you purchase, travel insurance may pay for all or some of your cancellation fees.
